So we’re pouring a lot of concrete for Peachtree City over by the Fred this week. I kept walking back and forth through this beautiful outdoor amphitheater, and after a few days I noticed this tree in the photo. I’m amazed at nature’s ability to embrace mankind’s presence given enough time. Some might say we are invading the tree’s rightful space, while others would prefer to see the tree cut down in the name of progress. Not that the tree had a choice, of course, but to me it tells a familiar tale about how all living things must learn to coexist. It’s a reminder to me that we need to embrace the things (and people) we cannot change.
